Night 1- Oct. 5

Night 2 - Oct. 6

Of course this wouldn't be possible without a little help from our friends.

Below are all the "couldn't have done it withoutcha" folks from around the community.

Craftoberfest is a festival by the people, for the people. We are focused on providing the community with an opportunity to take in local art, local foods, and unique German and harvest-inspired craft beer and cider made by invited partners from across the province. In other words, it’s going to be wacky and delicious.

For two nights in October, Craftoberfest will transform the upper level of the Market into a vibrant party filled with entertainment, dancing, food, and interactive art. Every Market food vendor is coming along for the ride, showcasing freshly made dishes and offering attendees the opportunity to sample a diverse array of deliciousness.

We’ve got your taste buds covered while local artist Jason Piper curates an art experience extravaganza. And music magician Brando von Dino will keep the dance floor busy. All. Night. Long. Plus, we have some surprises up our sleeves

Friday and Saturday evening events will be ticketed, with tickets becoming available for sale on September 4th through Snapd KW.

Craftoberfest is organized by Together We’re Bitter Co-operative Brewing, a local brewery that has been in operation for over a year and a half. TWB aims to provide the community with fresh, hand-crafted beer in a relaxed, interesting, inclusive space. Their beers are inspired by styles from around the world, and infused with quality ingredients and care.

We’re busy working with our partner breweries and cideries to curate a seasonal beer experience for all our festival goers! We will have plenty of German style lagers - Festbiers, Märzens, Oktoberfests, Pilsners, and Bocks, oh my - that were traditionally brewed to celebrate the iconic nuptials of our favourite monarchs Ludwig and Therese. Those two lovebirds, so cute.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’re also going to have beers and ciders brewed to celebrate the abundance of our own Ontario harvest! These include pumpkin ales, fruit sours, and spiced ciders. And it wouldn’t be a celebration of local craft beer and harvest without wet hopped IPAs, Pale Ales, and Saisons made with a wide variety of freshly picked hops from our growing community of Ontario hop farmers.

Building on last year’s momentum, Craftoberfest 2018 is taking place in Kitchener Market on October 5th and 6th. A longtime landmark meeting place in the community, the Market is an ideal venue in which to celebrate the autumn harvest. We’re incredibly lucky to partner with an institution that is at the epicenter of Kitchener’s bustling food culture.
